FREEDOM FOR IRANIAN FILMMAKER MAHNAZ MOHAMMADI
Mahnaz Mohammadi, a prominent Iranian filmmaker and women's rights activist, has been released on bail on July 27, one month after her arrest on June 26 at her home in Teheran. Her court case is still pending and her release is therefore temporary. Mahnaz is under close surveillance, her health is seriously weakened, and her passport has been withheld.
